Like yourself, I am passionate about keeping up with all the developments in the industry. With the creation of the blog, I hope to create meaningful dialogue, post my reviews, report on top stories, share relevant legislation and more. My pledge to you is that I will only post top stories without the pretense and politics like you see from many other bloggers.
At RISE, our staff consists of a diverse background, spanning from the armed forces, law enforcement, hunters associations, and so much more. We come from all walks of life, and celebrate the strength of our diversity in race, sex, religion, and creed. Despite our differences, we all share a passion for bringing you the best quality of firearms education and service.
Whether you are an industry veteran looking to read about the latest developments in your favorite manufacturer or a complete beginner trying to make some sense of the dizzying selections of rifles, shotguns, pistols, and all their calibers, the RISE blog is your reliable site to get started.
As of June of 2017, I am a one-man operation. My hope is that over time, contributors and anyone else with the industry know-how will join my rank and file. Despite the shortage of manpower at the moment, I will do my best to post good reads on a (somewhat) consistent basis.

WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON THE PENDING LEGISLATION FOR INTER-STATE CONCEALED CARRY RECIPROCITY?
THAT WILL, IF PASSED AND SIGNED, CHANGE THE WHOLE FACE OF OUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS.
Hi James, thank you for initiating this very important dialogue. Gun advocates like us have continually fought for reciprocity rights since we’ve stepped into this industry. As a traveler, the need for reciprocity is evident. We must contend with a patchwork of state/county/municipal gun laws while on interstate road trips. This not only proves inconvenient but in past instances- dangerous. As the provisions of this legislation are still being drafted, we can only hope for the best, but like always, prepare for the worst. But if this goes through, this would be a tremendous step up from where we are now. Again, thank you so much for raising this discussion. I will be keeping tabs on any new developments.
